Derbyshire born, Yorkshire based singer Julie Edwards last appeared in Settle in 2001. Since then she and her guitarist partner Kevin Dearden have appeared at hundreds of venues and festivals in the UK and elsewhere, for example in recent months you could have caught them at Scarborough, Cleethorpes and Keswick Jazz festivals, Ipswich Jazz, Swansea Jazzland or Amigos Del Jazz in Spain and have produced 3 critically acclaimed CDs.

Accompanying them on this occasion will be two of their favourite players in the North of England - the very musical Warren Jolly on double bass and the light swinging, highly skilled touch of Hugh Lawrence on drums.

"They have an enviable empathic relationship. Edwards, fluid and commanding, has clearly joined the front runners in the world of the female jazz singer, and a very welcome addition she is too."

Jazz Journal International

"One of the most appealing partnerships on the jazz circuit."

Yorkshire Post

"Fast becoming one of the top attractions on the jazz club circuit."
